This beauty will, however, hold in the bottle for at least a decade to come, slowly opening up and improving over the years.

This clone tends to ripen a bit earlier, with smaller berries. This helps us tremendously in our quest to produce a rich, dark, fruity & earthy & floral & spicy Mourvèdre. We chose to age this beauty in a mix of new and neutral French Oak barrels for 18 months to further help tame some of the wilder characteristics of the grape. The results speak for themselves in the stunningly drinkable wine. You can put this one down for a bit, but why, when it is so drinkable right now?
